The floating stair:

elegant and modern

Floating stairs generally dispense completely with stringers. This openness gives them a very light and transparent effect, so stair areas appear bright and spacious. This is made possible by the design, in that the steps are drilled directly into the brickwork on the wall side and suspended from the handrail on the free side. This means that the wooden or steel banisters absorb the load of the steps and transmit them to the load-bearing handrail.

The special rubber mountings of the individual steps inside the wall ensures particularly good footfall sound insulation and elasticity. Walking up and down the staircase is particularly quiet and what's more is easy on the joints and the spine. This is why we often find floating stairs in buildings where compliance with sound insulation regulations is particularly important.

Alternatively to direct attachment in the brickwork, the steps can also be drilled on the wall side too into a stringer with rubber mountings.

With a floating stair from Treppenbau Voss, you make a decision for the maximum possible individuality – and for
superb quality of both design and workmanship. A decision that will be a joy to you for long to come.
